Mombo Brothers
Blues, Pop, and Jazz provides their unique and Unforgettable sound teeming with authentic New Orleans Flavor.
Established in 1990, the Mambo have found a comfortable niche in the contemporary music scene by producing their own distinct style that combines a variety of musical genre. The group's blending of Blues, Pop, and Jazz provides their unique and unforgettable sound teeming with authentic New Orleans Flavor. The band's founder, front man, lead vocalist, and harmonica player, Dennis "Doc" Booth has kept the band going strong since the beginning.
The Mambo performed regularly at Peter's La Cuisine, a four star restaurant in Fort Myers, where for over a decade they played for standing room only audiences. A local and regional following, cemented and fortified with a mutual enthusiasm, loyalty, and lasting affection was established between them and their audiences. The durability and dedication of this bond is healthy and alive today. The band opened for Dr. John in Orlando, and headlined at one of Florida's oldest and most revered nightclubs, Tobacco Road in Miami, their touring venues include " The House of Blues" in Myrtle Beach, SC; "Walter Payton's Road House" in Aurora, IL; "The Gasparilla Festival" in Tampa, FL; various "Taste of the Towns" in Lee and Collier Counties; eight consecutive headliner performances at "Miromar Outlets Third of July Celebration" in Estero, FL; St. Patty's Day Celebration at "Rookie's Bar" outdoor facilities, and has performed for the annual "Cysco Food Convention" at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL for six consecutive years as well as numerous appearances at the Round House in Put-In-Bay, OH. The long lasting nature of the Mambo interval of success obviously includes many more venues than these listed but I think you get the idea. Presently, the Mambo specialize in outdoor shows and concerts, private parties of all natures, wedding and anniversaries, festivals and assorted types of corporate work.
